Page One is Hiring


The Director is responsible for conducting the effective daily operation of the Page One Thrift Store, Food Pantry, and Page One Boutique. Responsibilities include communicating and interacting with volunteers as well as staff; supervising staff and volunteers; and facilitating a safe and healthy environment for customers, volunteers, and staff. The Director is under the direction of the Board of Directors.

Director oversees Family Assistance, which operates 3 days per week and has scheduled hours. Director assists volunteers with this as necessary. Also oversees Food Pantry on these same 3 days.

Director attends monthly Board Meetings and presents a monthly report. Also attends other committee meetings as required. Director also attends community meetings as deemed appropriate to Page One.

Supervises full- and part-time staff and delegates job duties as necessary.

Responsible for operating within Page One budget through continual monitoring and working closely with the bookkeeper.

Director oversees the volunteer program and sees that stores are covered by staff and volunteers during working hours. Director oversees that stores are clean, organized, and well-stocked in order to maximize sales.

Director oversees participation in available programs for additional human resources such as the Page County inmate and community service programs. Also peruses available grants for the benefit of the organization and works closely with Blue Ridge Area Food Bank with food needs and grants. Helps and participates with other staff & volunteers to plan food drives and fundraising events within our community.

The food pantry especially needs items that will appeal to children, such as:

  • Jelly 

  • Peanut butter

  • Soup

  • Crackers

  • Bread

  • Hot dogs

  • Hamburgers

  • Fish sticks

  • Cereal

If you are able, come with gloves to assist.

Your Church group, Youth group, Sunday School Class, Community group, could assist in the sorting of clothing and household items.  This allows Page One to sell these items at our thrift stores which in turn allows us to use a greater amount of funds donated to Client benefits.

We have been blessed with an abundance of merchandise that needs sorting, hung on hangers, then boxed ready for our Thrift Stores.
