About US
Our History
Page One has been serving the Luray / Page County community since 1977. We were organized by individuals and churches who had compassion about meeting the human needs around us. We are growing stronger and helping more every year.
To fund our family assistance program we operate three thrift stores - two in Luray and the other in Shenandoah. The income from these stores and financial contributions by churches, businesses, and individuals allow us the means to provide these essential services to needy families. The sale items are donations from estates and yard sales including clothes, household goods, books, toys, furniture, and jewelry.
Our Shenandoah location is a branch of our Luray office. In 1979 the Page One Board of Directors approved a location in the southern end of our county to help serve needy families in that area. They also service clients with financial assistance (rent, water, fuel, and electric) and a food pantry. They have two days a week that clients can apply for financial and food assistance also.
Our Food Pantry supports the Shenandoah store with food items, as needed.
